The Bharatiya Janata Party is set to intensify its election campaign in West Bengal with the arrival of Yogi Adityanath, who is expected to lead a high-voltage outreach across the state. According to current plans, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister will participate in around 12 campaign programmes, marking a significant escalation in the party’s efforts ahead of the crucial Assembly elections. His entry comes after extensive campaigning by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The BJP has already held multiple rallies across key constituencies, and Yogi Adityanath’s visit is aimed at further energising the campaign. As per the schedule, he is expected to begin his campaign from Sunday, with major rallies planned in Patrasayer in Bankura district and Contai in East Midnapore. Party sources indicate that the number of his engagements may be increased further, reflecting the central leadership’s strategy to maximise his impact during the high-stakes electoral battle.
Within the party, Yogi Adityanath is seen as a prominent face associated with a strong ideological narrative and governance model. His image, shaped by a tough stance on law and order and assertive political messaging, has earned him significant visibility among party workers and supporters. The BJP leadership is now seeking to leverage this appeal in Bengal, particularly in constituencies where the contest is expected to be closely fought.
Political observers believe that his extensive campaign schedule is aimed not only at consolidating support but also at boosting cadre morale and sharpening the party’s messaging against the ruling Trinamool Congress. With the election campaign entering a decisive phase, Yogi Adityanath’s rallies are expected to play a key role in shaping the narrative on the ground, as all eyes remain on how his outreach influences voter sentiment in the state.
